Lucía De Rosa, también conocida como Lusi Dì, nació en Salerno el 22 de enero de 1976.
Realizó estudios técnicos, se graduó en Nápoles en el Instituto de Educación Física y fue ex jugadora profesional de voleibol en los campeonatos nacionales, series B1 y B2.
De niña, comenzó a dibujar desde cómics hasta naturalezas muertas, dibujos sobre telas de seda. Apasionada por todas las formas de arte, decidió expresar su talento creativo transfiriendo su imaginación y emoción al lienzo. En 1986, el día de Pascua, Lucía tenía casi 10 años y tuvo que llevar a la iglesia los regalos clásicos que se daban durante la Misa de Pascua. Decidió dibujar el rostro de Jesús; era tan expresivo que parecía estar hablando. Lo entregó a la iglesia “San Pedro Pablo” donde un sacerdote africano celebraba misa esa noche; fue a la sacristía y, bajo los ojos incrédulos de los presentes, entregó su primera obra de arte.
El sacerdote la miró y le dijo: “Si algún día vienes a visitarme a África lo encontrarás expuesto en mi iglesia”
Sus ojos brillaban de alegría y también los de su madre que lo presenció. Su madre le negó el derecho a asistir a la escuela secundaria de arte, prefiriendo otros estudios más concretos.
En la edad adulta volvió a su pasión infantil. Los estilos que domina son “pouring” que consiste en verter la pintura fluida directamente sobre el lienzo, “pintura de acción” similar a la técnica anterior, pero caracterizada por la violencia de los colores, la libertad de las marcas y la inmensidad de las superficies y, finalmente, “dripping” que implica la formación de parches o líneas aleatorias tras el goteo de los colores desde arriba.
A’ artista creativo y original que, a través de un hábil y alegre juego de colores brillantes e intensos, hábilmente combinados, transmite el deseo esencial y primordial de libertad. La observadora reconoce en ella una gran humanidad y una preciosa sensibilidad que, junto con el talento, dan vida a representaciones elegantes y encantadoras, inmersas en atmósferas idílicas.

Since she was a child, she started drawing from comics to still lifes, drawings on silk fabrics and passionate about every form of art, she decided to express her creative flair by transferring her imagination and emotion to canvas.In the year 1986 in the day of Easter, she was almost 10 years old and she had to bring to church the classic gifts that were given during the Easter mass, she decided to draw the face of Jesus, it was so expressive that she seemed to speak.
She handed him over to the “San Pietro Paolo” church where an African priest was celebrating mass that evening; she went to the sacristy and under the incredulous eyes of the people present there she delivered her first work of art. The priest looked at her and said “If one day you come to visit me in Africa you will find it exhibited in my church”.Her eyes sparkled with joy and so did those of her mother who witnessed it. Her mother deniedher to attend art school, preferring other more concrete studies.
In adulthood she returned to her childhood passion. The styles she masters are the “pouring” which consists in pouring the fluid paint directly onto the canvas, the “action paiting” similar to the previous technique, but characterized by the violence of the colors, the freedom of the signs and the vastness of the surfaces and, finally , the “dripping” which involves the formation of random spots or lines following the dripping of the colors from above.
A creative and original artist who, through a skilful and joyful play of bright and intense colors, wisely combined, transmits the essential and primordial desire for freedom.
The observer recognizes in her a great humanity and a precious sensitivity, which, together with talent, give life to elegant and enchanting representations, immersed in idyllic atmospheres.
